Top CEOs and Businesspeople Confirmed

Distinguished national and international businesspeople have confirmed their participation in the third version of the Americas Competitiveness Forum Representatives from Wal-Mart, Dell, Dupont and General Electric will have a leading role at the III Americas Competitiveness Forum, where they will address several competitiveness matters.

The current world economic situation has provided the platform for distinguished economic leaders to gather together for the first time in Chile to share their vision and experience on competitiveness in times of crisis.
Re-entrepreneurship, talent, energy and environment, and infrastructure development are some of the topics that will be addressed at the plenary sessions and panels during the Forum.
Vicente Trius, President and Executive Director of Wal-Mart Latin America, and David Short, Chief Prosecutor of Regulatory & International Affairs of Federal Express Corporation, will initiate the dialogue between businesspeople and authorities.  On September 28th, in the panel “The Value of Distribution Chains”, they will deliver answers in regards to the most suitable transport network to improve distribution chains in businesses.
Simultaneously, Clovis Sarmento – Leite, New Business Development Director of General Electric, David Cleary, Program Director of The Nature Conservancy, along with Luis Miguel Galindo, Economist and Professor at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, will debate about Energy and Environment in a panel that aims to give answers about the need of new and better energy resources that promote sustainable development.
Also, on the first day of the Forum Raymundo Peixoto, General Manager of Dell Brasil, will deliver his opinion on the impact of educational exchange policies and the capacity of enhancing human capital in the region.
On September 29th, Eduardo Wanick, President of Dupont Latin America, and Eduardo Bitrán, President of the Innovation Council for Competitiveness in Chile, will be in charge of continuing the discussion about the impact of soft innovation on productivity.

National and international authorities will also participate in the third version of the Americas Competitiveness Forum, creating an opportunity to elaborate on logistic matters, energy, technology and corporate in the region.
