TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM
SANTIAGO, CHILE

Participants must make their own arrangements for transportation to and from Santiago. It is recommended that you confirm your return flight upon arrival in Santiago in order to ensure your departure flight on the expected date.

AIRPORTS AND CUSTOMS
A citizen from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador may travel to Chile with just his or her national identification card, but a citizen from a country other than one of the above will need a valid passport. A Cuban national must obtain a visa for any stay of 30 to 90 days’ duration. For further information, visit:

CUSTOMS
Foreign passengers must declare to Customs upon arrival. Electronic items such as video cameras and personal computers, among others, must be declared at the time of arrival in Chile as “temporary entry items.”

Foreign passengers normally do not have any issues going through Customs when traveling with their personal belongings; however, the following items are strictly prohibited:
•Fruits
•Vegetables
•Seeds
•Non-processed products of animal origin
•Firearms
•Ammunition or explosives
•Controlled drugs

SANITARY CONTROLS
Animal or vegetable products may only be brought into the country with prior authorization from the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile.
