OVERVIEW OF CHILE
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
The Chilean territory is located in the southeast of South America, between 17º 30′ and 90º South latitudes. Its continental longitude is approximately 4.200 km and 8.000 km, when the Chilean Antarctic is taken into account.
Easter Island or Rapa Nui, the Juan Fernández Archipelago and the San Felix, San Ambrosio, Salas and Gomez Islands also form part of Chilean territory, as well as 200 miles of sea territory and the corresponding continental platform.

Borders:
Chile is bordered by Peru to the north, Bolivia and Argentina to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west and the South Pole to the south.

Total Surface Area 2.006.626 km2.
The climate, like the territory of Chile is varied, depending on the latitude, distance from the sea and altitude.
CLIMATE
North:Scant precipitation, average temperature 61°F, which decreases with proximity to the Andes.
Center:
The average temperature is 59°F, slightly increased precipitation with an average of 113 mm.
South Central:
Rains concentrated in Winter, with an average of 360 mm, and an average temperature of 57°F.
South:
Average temperature is 53°C, with increased rains that average from 943 to 2.488 mm.
South austral:
The average temperature is 48°C, with a precipitation of 2.820 mm.
